I have about 3,000 pictures I took in Greece, and we only stayed for 2 weeks, but what a two weeks! My first time in this beautiful land of beaches, blue skies, and history.
So much to tell!!
Happy Travels!
These particular blossoms are long gone, but I’m sure you all are living in places were spring green
& colors are popping up everywhere.
I am quite content in this weather and what it brings around these parts, yet some little part of me
Is tugging, not sure quite which way, yet it’s calling for a new jaunt, anywhere.
Happy Travels this Spring!!
I took a chance, woke up extra early before the sun came up, and drove to Washington, D.C.’s Tidal Basin, to catch a glimpse at the always beautiful, cherry blossoms. People flock to D.C. to watch the pink and white flowers bloom. I was lucky enough to find a parking space not too far away from the Tidal Basin, even at 5:30 am, there was a crowd.
The place was packed with tv news crews, photographers, joggers, dogs, children, anything and everything! Yet, the hustle and bustle never detracts from the glorious trees. Thank you Japan! What a wonderful gift they gave us, these flowers always mean the bright entry into Spring for me.
I was so lucky I was able to catch them right at peak bloom too
I have so many other pictures to share, here are just a few! Happy Spring!
Happy Travels too!!
Sorry for the hiatus folks! My laptop died a few weeks back & I have been trying to get used to publishing via my iPad, thus my pictures have been edited by VSCOCAM & Adobe’s iPad Application version of Photoshop-PS Touch.
Savannah & Saint Simons Island GA was a 9 hour road trip my travel buddy & I took away from the snow & drear that was D.C. a couple of weeks ago. We actually made Savannah for St. Patricks day!!
Georgia was lovely & cheaper than a airplane ride.
Here is just a sampling of some of the pictures I took to get you started!
Have a Great Easter Sunday!
Happy Travels!!
Hope you are enjoying your weekends immensely & taking it slow!
Today in northern Virginia the sun is shining brighter than it has in a long while, so it’s looking up weather wise, Spring please show your feathers!
Well, since my little trip in Feb. fell through, I have been looking through old pictures on my hard drive, and discovered a few sandy pictures back from 2012, when we went to Naples, Florida.
Soo, I am thinking of taking a little beach trip in March instead to shake off the Winter-time blues, and also I have a couple of days off from school, so in all I think all systems are go,
I just need to find that perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of DC trip, preferably to a place I have never been to before, and with a little bit of blue vastness to look upon while reading a good book, um.. Suggestions always welcome!
Happy Travels!!
The U.S. Capitol Building in the Winter
A bit of art outside the National Gallery of Art, one of many art museums in dc.

Outside of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, this structure moves in the wind.

The light fading on the National Mall.
Fall in the streets near Dupont Circle, go here on a summer’s day & hang out by the fountain.
View on a spring day from my favorite dc sandwich joint.
If you are ever in the city stop by Taylor’s many locations in the city and def. get the all veggie Christian Street!

If you are ever in the H street area of D.C., this is the best coffee shop, cozy & very tasty.

This little restaurant (seriously it only fits a very small amount of people) Toki Underground has the tastiest ramen, but def. get reservations!
A view of Georgetown from Virginia.
Happy Travels!!
Am I the only one that wishes Winter would leave us behind and give Spring it’s turn around?
I wanted to show some photographs from the past couple years I have taken in Washington, D.C.
I highly suggest you visit the city in all it’s glory in the Spring, especially during March-April in time for all the beautiful Cherry Blossom madness. It’s on my check list this year, to go to the Tidal Basin to view the festivities, its been a couple of years, and it’s like standing underneath trees full of pink cotton candy petals, it’s soo pretty. However, there will be people all around, be warned, ha.
Another favorite spot for me, is the National Mall, oh, I am imagining it right now, sitting on the lawn underneath a tree, eating something I picked up from Chinatown, sunny & warm. Also all the free museums doors are open and ready for you to explore them!
Spring, oh Spring. For now I will just be content reading my travel books and scheming for warmer waters..
Happy Travels!!
Work & school & I guess life in general as been a bit hectic, thus the slow down of posts. I apologize.
